Why Homeowners Choose Zamzam Development

Three things clients tell us matter most once the work is underway.

Straight Answers

You get realistic budget ranges and an honest schedule before you commit, not a low number that climbs later. If something changes, you hear it from us first.

One Accountable Team

A single point of contact carries your project from preconstruction to close-out. Nothing gets lost between trades, and you never have to chase an update.

Built To Last

We build to a standard we would accept in our own homes: careful framing, a tight building envelope, and finish work that still looks right years after move-in.

The Custom Home Builder for Metro Detroit

Zamzam Development builds custom homes across Oakland County and the surrounding Metro Detroit communities. Whether you already own land or are still searching for the right parcel, we help you understand what a site will actually support before serious money is committed.
We work alongside your architect and designer, price the drawings honestly, and then build. Our role is construction — planning it properly, running it cleanly, and standing behind it once the keys change hands.

What We Bring to Every Build

Realistic Preconstruction

Before a shovel moves, we review the drawings, look hard at the site, and build a line-item budget you can actually plan around. Surprises are always cheapest to solve on paper.

A Clean Job Site

How a site is run tells you how a house is built. Ours stay organized, secured and scheduled — and your neighbors get the same courtesy you do.

Communication That Holds Up

Regular updates, written change orders, and one number to call. You should never have to wonder what happened on your project this week.

What Our Clients Say

Trusted By The People Who Live In What We Build

We had a lot and a general idea of what we wanted, but didn’t really know where to start. Ahmed walked us through the process, helped us understand what was realistic, and was upfront about costs and decisions from the beginning.

Michael R. – Birmingham

Communication was probably what impressed us most. Ahmed and his team always kept us updated on what was happening with the house and what was coming next. Whenever we had a question, we could actually get an answer without chasing someone down.

Sarah & Daniel M. – West Bloomfield

Ahmed and his team paid attention to the details throughout the entire build. If something wasn’t right, they addressed it instead of ignoring it or covering it up. We really felt like Ahmed cared about the finished home as much as we did.

James K. – Canton

Common Questions

Metro Detroit Custom Home Building FAQs

Do I need to own land before contacting Zamzam Development?

Can you build from plans I already have?

Yes. If you already have architectural plans, you can submit them for project review.

Can you help if I don’t have architectural plans yet?

Yes. We can discuss the project and coordinate with appropriate design professionals as it moves toward construction.

Where do you build?

We focus on Metro Detroit and the surrounding Southeast Michigan communities, particularly Oakland County.

Do you offer standard home models?

Our focus is custom residential construction rather than forcing every client into a predetermined production-builder model.

How much does it cost to build a custom home?

Cost depends heavily on the property, size, architecture, specifications, finishes, site conditions and other project requirements. We review the specific project before presenting meaningful pricing expectations.

How long does it take to build?

Do you build commercial properties?

Our current focus is residential new construction.
